Depart from the trailhead and ride to the confluence of Youngs Creek and the Danaher River. Camp here for two nights with excellent fishing access.
Spend the day fishing, hiking, or relaxing in camp. Horseback rides are optional for those who want to explore further.
Ride and fish along the South Fork of the Flathead River, setting camp near Big Prairie Ranger Station.
A full day of fly fishing and optional day rides through the surrounding wilderness.

Where We Meet
Arrival City: Helena, Montana
Guests should plan to arrive in Helena the day before departure. A safety meeting is held that evening to review trip details and introduce guides and fellow guests.
Trailhead and Transportation
On departure morning, guests are picked up from their hotel in Helena and transported to the Lodgepole area and then to Benchmark Trailhead, where the South Fork fly fishing pack trip officially begins.
From Benchmark Trailhead, the group travels by horseback into the Bob Marshall Wilderness.
Start and End Times
Departure Day: Morning pickup from Helena hotel
Return Day: Transportation back to Helena after the final ride out
We recommend flying in the day before and departing the day after your trip for flexibility.

Guests must bring personal gear, clothing, and toiletries packed into one canvas or nylon duffel bag without wheels. The total weight must not exceed 40 pounds. Sleeping bags may be packed separately.
