About K Lazy 3 and Our Owners

Kenny and Coley Low, native Montanans, are the heart and soul behind K Lazy 3. Growing up in Cascade, Montana, Kenny developed a deep connection to the land through hunting, fishing, ranching, and rodeoing. After attending Montana State University, Kenny eventually purchased K Lazy 3 from a family friend.

Kenny’s history with K Lazy 3 dates back to his childhood, when he frequently visited the ranch, and his father worked for the original owners, Kenny and Mary Faith Hoeffner. The ranch became like a second home for Kenny, and the Hoeffners were like family. In fact, Kenny was named after Kenny Hoeffner. What started as a single camp, Meadow Creek Camp, has grown into a thriving wilderness outfitter in the heart of the Bob Marshall Wilderness.

Kenny’s knowledge of the land is unmatched, and he is personally involved in every aspect of the operation—from booking reservations to guiding guests into the hidden gems of Montana’s elk hunting grounds. At K Lazy 3, hard work and tradition are integral to the experience, and Kenny’s “can’t” isn’t in the vocabulary—there’s no place too remote, no elk too elusive, and no mountain too steep.

At K Lazy 3, we embrace traditional wilderness travel methods, using mules, Rocky Mountain horses, and tent camps to provide an authentic, back-to-nature experience. We are a proud member of the Montana Outfitters and Guides Association and the Professional Wilderness Outfitters Association. We are also permitted by the Lincoln Ranger District, granting us priority use of the Helena, Lolo, Flathead, and Lewis and Clark National Forests.
